Signal settings
Server-side Signal account settings for your number.
Whether a blue tick shows on your own messages. Display only — nothing is sent either way.
Off by default. When on, a message you have actually seen tells its sender so — in a group, the member who wrote it, never the group. It is sent once per message and cannot be taken back.
Phone number privacy
Signal offers no read-back for these — the boxes reflect the last values saved on the server.

UI preferences
Messages arrive pushed over signal-cli's websocket; this only paces the connection check behind it (and the fallback polling if the upstream is not in daemon mode). Receiving is always on.
Optional. Plays instead of the built-in tone. Stored in this browser only (max 1 MB).

Inbox maintenance
config-api drains the receive queue itself and pushes
what arrives over the WebSocket, so neither of these is part of normal
operation. They are the way out when the receive loop is disabled
(RECEIVE_LOOP=off) or the upstream has fallen back to
polling.
